A lovely crumbly fruit dessert originated from the desire to display hand-picked  blueberries in all their glory and taste.
Our “blueberry hunt” this time was not exactly something to celebrate – a little more than a handfull of blueberries, plus it was eaten a bit along the way. Of course, it was sufficient for the treat. By the way, this was the first time I’d picked the blueberries and I can tell you that I really enjoyed it – there are you and those blue dots among the green leaves, the silence and the smell of the forest … somehow very relaxing. Well now, I still have pain in the muscles, but you must sacrifice something.

It is the season of blueberries and these days I was thinking what to do with them, the choice is huge. And of course, I found the answer on Pinterest, and my favorite food blogs – a dessert that contains a light mixture of butter and flour, for a fantastic crispy topping, which is a great contrast to this soft and aromatic fruit.
Apart from blueberries, you can make this cake with some other fruit such as cherries, raspberries or plums.
I must say that this light and easy dessert is definitely my favorite of the season.

  1. I am assuming that the oats are mixed in with the dry ingredients or are they tossed on seperately? Looks yummy!
