I’m not a fan of fruit in cakes, we mainly eat raw fruit and without any preparation, though this recipe has been on my “go-to” list for some time.
As you may already know, crisp is a type of a dessert you can improvise a lot with ( you can also use this recipe to make peach crisp ).
This is a dessert with a soul, the scent and some kind of a melancholia….the melancholia which you feel when you think about some old grandma’s desserts, or when you think of the table in the dining room where everyone has their place…..

Caramel Apple Crisp is the soft, versatile, easy and delicious dessert. Cinnamony fruit and crunchy oat topping makes a perfect combination.Inside there is a soft apple, it is crunchy from above, and there is also cold and creamy ice cream and caramel topping on top. Most of the time I keep the topping simple….brown sugar, flour, oats and butter along with a few spices. So let chop up some apples, cover with the topping and bake for about half an hour. So easy but so full of flavor.

Cook with love, cook memorable meals and cook to create memories!
