This Strawberry Pretzel Dessert just begging you to make it for your next summer picnic or bbq to serve.
Strawberry season is in full swing!!!! Ok maybe I’m almost a little bit late since it is already mid-May but either way now is the time to take advantage of all those fresh, juicy, sweet strawberries that are on sale.
The other day I picked up a big container full of strawberries, three pounds to be exact ! At bargain price – how could I resist.
“Was it a need”?…..and just as important….Will i (ever) use them entirely ? – quite a gamble.
Immediately I started thinking about ways to use them. We ate our fair share of fresh strawberries, made a quick strawberry muffins, froze some for smoothies and now it’s fresh strawberry pretzel dessert time!!
My favorite summer flavor combination has to be strawberries and pretzels. There’s something so special about this sweet and salty dessert, one layer looks and sounds better than the next. Sweet and salty pretzel layer, cream cheese, fresh strawberries and Strawberry JELL-O will satisfy all your cravings for sweets.
So, if you are big into sweet and salty desserts, you will not be able to stop eating this Strawberry Pretzel Dessert, because there’s “that” moment of silence where you put your spoon in and the world just stops because what you’re putting in your mouth is so amazing.

This is an all-time favorite! Thanks for linking up with What’s Cookin’ Wednesday!
I made this for a church cookout and it was so delicious that I had only one piece left over. I will make this again. A real winner.
I have been making this recipe since 1977! It is titled “Pretzel Salad”!
I make this a lot but use raspberry jello and frozen raspberries. I’ll have to try it with the strawberries!
I made this for a family reunion, came back with an empty dish. Great recipe!
someone in my family is dairy free, so no cream cheese, which is tough for me because it’s delicious in desserts. do you think this would work well if i subbed coconut whipped cream? otherwise ill look into dairy free CC.
I was wondering if there was a way to make this “red, white, and blue” for the 4th? Any suggestions for how to do the “blue” part on top of the pretzels?
There is blue gelatin out there and mix bits of strawberries with the whip cream:)
Sometimes recipes by bloggers are not exactly accurate, but this one did not disappoint. Great dessert, looked and tasted just like the photos!
Thanks so much for all the kind words, I really do appreciate it !!
Does white sugar mean powdered sugar? I know stupid question.
I had the same question!
White sugar does not mean powdered sugar in this recipe. I’m guessing she specified white instead of brown.
Sure, like mentioned in the recipe, you should use white sugar.
Today is my first time ever making this recipe. Praying it turns out. Because I am not a good cook.
Is there a secret to getting the jello to set on top? Mine soaked through all of the layers, resulting in a delicious but soggy pretzel crust.
Hi Christina, there are no secrets.Use a fresh strawberries and jelly do that at the direction. Good luck
I have had this happen if I didn’t let the cream cheese layer set long enough, or if I didn’t spread the cream cheese layer all the way to the dish and ‘seal’ off the pretzel layer.
YES! There is a way to prevent the jello layer from soaking thru. When you add the cream cheese layer, make sure you spread it all the way around the pan, forming a seal. When you do this it creates a base for the jello, so it doesn’t leak through.
I had that happen too! (Glad I wasn’t the only one ????. Wondered what I did wrong.
Absolutely my favorite! And so easy to make…no left overs!!
Can i make this the night before or does it need to be the day of? I have had this before and love it. Just remember the crust can get soggy.
Use blueberry pie filling for the Red ,white and blue.
Nagyon ötletes és finomak , köszönöm !!!!!
Can I make this tonight and serve it tomorrow night?
