Individual Salted Caramel Apple PiesThere is something wonderful about individualizing desserts in general and cinnamon spiced apple slices drizzled with homemade salted caramel and loaded between two pieces of fried pie dough makes no exception. The idea of individualizing pies makes an elegant twist on the classic apple pie, plus there is no need for knives, plates, or forks, sounds just great to me. Since, I am legitimately addicted – salted caramel combination of “salty and sweet” is one of my favorite things in the world.

Homemade Salted CaramelsI’ve decided to share my simply Homemade Alternatives to Store-bought products with you all, as often as possible and first on the list was the homemade caramels. Homemade Caramels..they’ve been on my mind for way too long and I simply had to make them. If you’ve never made caramel before, don’t be afraid, it’s actually really easy. You just need few ingredients, a large sauce pan and a loaf pan.
