Simple Strawberry Cheesecake Salad

Simple Strawberry Cheesecake SaladIf you are reading this blog from the first line, you may have noticed that I love anything that has to do with cheesecake. Chocolate and caramel are great addition for sure, but you cannot go wrong either when you choose to pair your cheesecake with mixture of strawberries and bananas. I love this recipe because it is so easy to make and it makes the most perfect salad for any potluck or BBQ.

I have made this salad without marshmallows and it is still delicious. It would also be great with other fruit, I guess.

Simple Strawberry Cheesecake Salad

recipe adapted from Time for Supper

12 oz whipped topping
1 (3 1/2 oz) package instant cheesecake pudding powder (vanilla pudding also works)
3 (6 oz) packages strawberry yogurt
1 lb fresh strawberries, sliced
2 bananas, sliced (add just before serving or they brown)
* miniature marshmallow (optional)

1. In a large salad bowl stir together whipped topping, yogurt, and pudding powder.
2. Let this set up in the fridge for at least an hour before serving.
3. Wash and slice strawberries and bananas and add them to salad just before serving. Keep refrigerated.

  1. I want to make this today, but I sent my husband to the store for the ingredients he said he couldn’t find a 12 0z cool whip and he brought home an 80z container, will it still turn out ok?

    1. Probably. I think they’ve changed the way they package whipped topping. I’m seeing 8 and 16 oz. now. What you do is buy the 16, use 12 in the recipe, and eat the leftover with a spoon.

  2. I made a similar recipe only it called for the filling package of boxed cheesecake
    mix. I left out the marsmallows and used frozed strawberries as no fresh were in the stores at the time. I sliced the strawberries while still frozen. I just added extra coolwhip because of the extra moisture from the frozen strawberries. It was excellent. My husband could not get enough of it. Made a huge bowl.
